About Rhymie Lee

I first started writing rhymes when I was 8 years old being influenced by a group called Kriss Kross which consisted of 2 artists who were about 12 years old at the time.

Aged  11 years old I started listening to jungle music and started MCing and by age 14 I was MCing at venues and pirate radio stations as part of  a crew called Natural selection which consisted of 2 MCs and a DJ. As Jungle started to fade out we made a transition into Garage music as it took over the airwaves.

In my adult years I started listening heavily into hip hop and my lyrics started to become more expressive and lyrical. Currently I get a lot of inspiration from reggae music.

My style is a fusion between jungle music, hip hop and reggae.

I believe that it is essential to be unique and have your own style.
